Theodore Roosevelt said, “To educate a man in the mind but not in morals is to educate a menace to society.” We wholeheartedly agree. All programs are useless (and even harmful) if they are not embedded inside a strong ethical context. For this reason, we believe in and deliberately provide values-based instruction. We understand character education, if it is to be deep-rooted and genuine, is not something taught separately or merely intellectually, but instead is integrated into everything we do and everything we teach at Summit Education Center.
At the center and heart is the value and characteristic of Love – Respect, Care, Concern. The graphic below provides a visual of the Summit Education Center values and shows their interconnected nature. For SEC leaders, educators, students and supporters, this graphic is a dynamic representation of what is lived out at SEC on a daily basis.
